My mom likes to e-mail the white house frequently and today the White House sent her a letter is goes like this :

"Dear Ms. P****
On Behalf of President Bush, thank you for you correspondance about Iraq. We appreciate learning your Views. In Iraq, the US and out coalition partners removed a threat to our security and liberated the Iraqi people from Saddam Hussein's brutal regime. Our nation and the world are more secure because a dangerous tyrant with a history of aggression, of pursuing and using weapons of mass destruction, and of sponsoring terror is no longer in power. Iraqis have made their vision for the future clear. They voted to approve a democratic constitution in October of 2005. Their constitution calls for a federal system of government, protects fundamental freedoms, and lays the foundation for a lasting democracy. On December 15, more than 10 million Iraqis went to the polls for the Iraqi National Assembly Elections and chose the leaders of their new government. As Iraq moves forward in the democratic process, the US and out coalition partners are working with the Iraqi people to help establish the stability and security that democracy requires. Our troops remain on the offensive agaisnt terrorists and continue to train Iraqi forces to take the fight to the enemy. More Iraqi battalions are fighting terrorists, and they are gaining new capabilities and confidence every day. As the Iraqi forces stand up, our forces will stand down. And when the mission is complete, our troops will return home with the honor the have earned. The victory of freedom in Iraq with strengthen a new ally in the war on terror and help chart a new course for the entire middle east. We express our gratitude to the men and women of our Armed Forces who are serving freedom's cause with the courage of distinction in Iraq and in the other posts around the world. Their service in defense of our founding ideals makes our country safer, and the President is proud to be their Commander in Chief. We also care grateful to their families for the unwavering support and sacrifice. For more information about the National Strategy for Victory in Iraq, you may wish to visit the White House website at whitehouse.gov/infocus/iraq. As the President has said, our children and grandchildren will be safer and more secure because we stood firm in this important fight. Thank you again for writing, and best wishes.
Sincerely, Darren K. Hipp, Special Assistant to the President, and Director of the Presidential Correspondance. "

Now since school shootings have started to happen again some people think that teachers should be armed with guns.....GREAT!!! now whats going to deter a mentally unstable teacher (they are out there people...wake up) from threatening to or blowing some unruly students head off? What about the teachers who stalk or molest their students??

Of course a Republican thought this one up...figures.
